Panther chameleon
Classification | Habitat | Diet |
Squamata > Chameleonidae | Rainforests | 🐛 insects |
The panther chameleon is the
most colorful of the chameleons.
Contrary to popular belief,
they do not change their body color to camouflage themselves.
Instead, they change their body color according to temperature, mood,
and as a means of communication.
Each of their eyes can rotate 360 degrees,
but they usually keep one eye facing forward
and the other looking around to see if there are any predators nearby.
Keep your eyes peeled for the colorful panther chameleon!
